About the Department
Led by Christopher Diniz, the ITS Infrastructure Services department addresses four distinct functions. Services provided by Infrastructure Services are in the service catalog and support is requested through the ServiceNow ticketing system.
The service groups in Infrastructure Services include the following four areas:
- Cloud Services and Datacenter
- Networking and Wireless
- Telecommunications
- Security & Access
Cloud Services and Datacenter
This function will provide services in either the on-premise or cloud-hosted environment enabling always on and available access to data.
Additionally, the group is also responsible for supporting the campus Identity Management Service, which includes provisioning of login IDs and associated permissions for logging into all campus IT services.
Networking and Wireless
Services providing in networking and wireless include wired network access, support for Eduroam wireless access, and wireless support for events across both the main and AV campuses.
Telecommunications
Support is provided for the traditional PBX system, the new VoIP phone system, cellular phones and hotspots, and emergency phones.

Security & Access
This function assists in ensuring that you are able to access data in a secure and reliable way.
Some of the items managed include firewalls, SPAM blockers, virus protection, data encryption, network segmentation, and other data security related items.
